I hung up my boots once my son was born. When he was old enough to join a team, I got involved in helping the coaches set up and put away equipment for training and matches. The chairman at the time said one week, "You're here every week, you might as well run your own team," and that's how I got started in coaching. I’ve never looked back and absolutely love it.
A few years later, I’m now coaching an awesome group of U15 boys at Tekkers, some of whom I’ve had for quite a few years. We’re heading into the 25/26 season, playing at our highest level. This will really put my coaching to the test.
