I started my coaching journey in the 18/19 season, which was my son’s second year at Sumners FC (U8s). I was asked by the Chairman to take over the team, as the previous manager had quit. Hesitant at first, but I took on the role and have never looked back.
As I approach my 8th season as a manager/coach, I now also manage my younger son’s team, a position I’ve held for the past two seasons. Needless to say, I love coaching and really enjoy watching the players develop.
